We were instantly drawn to how Kate uses natural light in her photos. Kate is so warm and personable through all forms of communication, and immediately put us at ease with her laid-back, creative, respectful, and fun personality.
Kate photographed our engagement session at East Sooke park, and our intimate wedding day at Keating Farm. All of our photos beautifully captured all of our special moments... we can't believe she was able to be in so many places at once during our wedding day! She truly met and exceeded all of our expectations.

Where to even start!!! We could not have asked for a better photographer to be with us on our big day, capturing such special once in a lifetime moments. Kate was the perfect combination of being down to earth and fun and still professional and was absolutely on point for the full 8 hour day! She was a supportive and calming presence to have around during one of the most nerve-wracking days of our lives. I'm not a huge fan of getting my picture taken and I was unsure on how enjoyable it was going to be, but Kate made it SO fun!!! We've only seen a sneak peak of our photos but we could not be happier and can't wait to see the rest of them! ❤️
Kate did our engagement shoot and wedding day photography. From first glance at her site, we loved her earthy + travel/photojournalist style (compared to the more airy, overexposed look of a lot of wedding photographers). From first contact, communication with Kate was easy, clear, and thoughtful. She doesn't book a lot of weddings each season, so she has the time to invest in each couple she works with, making the planning process very collaborative. Working with Kate during our photoshoots was the best part. She is personable, laid-back, and goofy, yet also super professional. My partner and I had never done photoshoots before, and Kate made us feel comfortable and at ease. She brought out the best in both of us and we had a lot of fun. Would work with Kate again in a heartbeat and 10/10 recommend!
Kate is and incredibly talented photographer with a wicked sense of humour and is so generous with her time. Leading up to our wedding she was fantastic with communication and creating a timeline for the day’s photos which really helped to ease our pre-wedding jitters. She created an incredible first look in the woods prior to our wedding that felt so intimate and "us". She is amazing at listening to her clients and rolling with it. After our wedding dinner she even caught us in our canoe for our maiden canoe journey as husband and wife. Thank you Kate!! We will treasure the photos

Kate repeatedly went above and beyond for us – wading into the ocean in May for our engagement photos and braving dark and snowy mountain roads for our wedding in October! We never expected to feel so relaxed and at ease on our wedding day, Kate was so helpful at providing guidance through the planning beforehand and then keeping the day moving smoothly, along with being professional and hilarious the whole time. Our friends and families are still talking about how fun and easy to work with Kate was, and of course how beautifully all our photos turned out. Choosing Kate as our photographer was easily the best decision we could have made for our day, we could not be happier with out photos and would highly recommend her to anyone!
Kate was 100% the best photographer I’ve ever worked with.
I’ve had anniversary and engagement photogs before. While my engagement photog was bubbly and nice, I got a very rushed sense from them. Not so with Kate! When she’s with you she is 100% focused on you. She wasn’t rushing through or hurrying us along. She took the time to research the best lighting, to investigate the ceremony space, and to work with us on the timeline. And it paid off, in spades. To set the scene: we got married in a downpour. My hair was soaked, dress soaked, husband soaked, but she made it all seem more romantic. It could have easily become a drowned rat wedding but instead we have this fairytale whimsy to our photos.
She was completely soaked but never complained. This is the photographer you want on your wedding day— trust me.
Working with Kate was everything we could have wanted in a wedding photographer. Even outside the "work" stuff--the photos were perfect, Kate was professional, great communication, and punctual--we also just had a blast. Kate is fun and lighthearted, and neither my husband nor I were particularly jazzed about having photos taken of us, but Kate managed to get us happy and relaxed being photographed, and it shows in all the pictures. Not exaggerating when I say she MADE our wedding day. Couldn't recommend her more.
Kate did our engagement and wedding photos! And our experience working with her was incredible. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and took so many amazing photos. She is extremely professional and talented. She was great at providing suggestions on locations to shoot, poses, etc., it felt effortless for us and we thought she went above and beyond our expectations. Our wedding day was captured so beautifully, with all of the emotions and joy of the moment immortalized into photographs that we will treasure for years to come.

We were so happy we booked Kate for our intimate wedding ceremony this summer. From the get-go Kate was super nice, professional and very easy to work with. My partner and I were both nervous and awkward about getting our photos taken and being the center of attention, but Kate made it all very easy and had us laughing the whole way through.
